E-BIKE TOUR IN THE BRAIES DOLOMITES WITH VIEW ON THE TRE CIME DI LAVAREDO

Starting from the Bike Academy Sextner Dolomiten, on the bike path to “Innichen/San Candido”; continue to “Toblach/Dobbiaco” and then turn to the left (on the cycle path) towards Cortina and until “Schluderbach/Carbonin”.  After the holiday resort "Ploner" you reach on a forest road (after 7 km and about 1 hour) the “Plätzwiese”Prato Piazza”. Along the alp yo have a fantastic view to the mountains “Hohe Gaisl/ Croda d’Ampezzo” and the “Dürrenstein/Picco di Vallandro” and the "Tre Cime di Lavaredo"  After a short rest in the “Plätzwiese” hut it goes to the hotel “Hohe Gaisl”,on the traveling road until after Ponticello / Brückele Immediately after the parking area the trail continues to “Ausserprags/Braies di Fuori” (about 10 km). From there down towards the village of “Toblach/Dobbiaco” and back to the starting point Bike Academy Sextner Dolomiten 

Tips: from the “Plätzwiese/Prato Piazza” you can also go to the “Strudelkopf/Monte Specie” (2,400m);  about 300 meters of altitude with a fantastic views at the Dolomites

“ON OLD WARPATHS ON THE WAY” TRAIL TOUR “MARCHKINKELE”

With the shuttle to the Lachwiesenhütte

Start from the Bike Academy Sextner Dolomiten  with the Shuttle to the “Lachwiesen Hut” (1.690). Here our dream tour starts past to the S. Silvestro Chapel (1.800) and from there along a military road from the First World War in switchbacks until Marchkinkele (2.550). Each turn of the pedal on this magnificent descent is accompanied by the unique panorama of the Sesto Dolomites with the Tre Cime di Lavaredo in the background. The Marchkinkele is situated on the border with East Tyrol and offers an amazing 360° view of the Sesto Dolomites as well as Austria’s glacier landscape. Follow the path across the plateau and then turn left along an initially flowing trail which has a few, not too technically difficult, hairpin bends towards Malga S. Silvestro hut. At the Silvesteralm hut then a lunch break is planned, before it continues to the Silvesterplatz and then on flowigen Trail's in the direction of Vierschach.

From Versciaco, we take the Monte Elmo cable car to the Monte Elmo (2.040). The comfortable descent to the Baita del Cacciatore starts here and then on to the last rest stop at the “Gasthof Waldruhe” with a fantastic view across the valley to the starting point at the Bike Academy Sextner Dolomiten   back to Sesto

ON THE TOP MONTE ARNESE TRAIL TO THE KLAMMBACH HUT

„Funny trails with view on the Tre Cime di Lavaredo”

We start at Sesto from the Bike Academy Sextner Dolomiten .We take the cablecar to the Monte Elmo ( 2.000 m ) . From there, we continue to Rifugio Gallo Cedrone (2,150) with a short coffee-break and then along a wide, easy cycle path to Rifugio Sillianer at 2,450 metres. We enjoy there, the dream-view of 360° on the Dolomites of Sesto and we go on until Monte Arnese (2,500). We turn right on hiking trail no. 134, along a beautiful moderately difficult single trail S2 to Malga Klammbach (1,940). There we enjoy a typical South-Tyrolean dish like dumplings or a Kaiserschmarren and of course, you get a fresh beer. After our break, we continue along forest path no. 13 back to Sesto to the Bike Academy Sextner Dolomiten  .

Alternatively we take the “Erla” Trail to the valley station of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo cable car.

Dream EMTB tour "Five Huts" in the nature reserve Fanes Sennes

A real dream tour, however it requires a very good condition and driving technique with steep ascents and descents, a wonderful view and the unique flora and fauna of this area with some natural spectacles. There are plenty of mountain huts and unforgettable impressions are guaranteed!
Start at Sexten  from the BikeAcademy Sextner Dolomiten    with  our Shuttle in direction Cortina to the S. Umberto parking area.  From there we goes first to the “Rastua Alm”, after this hut an extremely steep way continues to the “Sennes Alm” hut. With a short rest, there is also the possibility to charge the e-bike if necessary, then it goes to the mountain village "Fodara Vedla". Then a very steep descent to Pederü, afterwards a strenuous climb up to the Fanes-Alm but with a fantastic panoramic view. From the Fanes Alm it is another 2 km extremely steep climb, afterwards a leisurely descent via the Limo pass with the Limo lake back to the starting point and the shuttle back to Sexten to the BikeAcademy Sextner Dolomiten

“Trail Highlight in the Dolomites of Sesto”

We show you the best trails!

We start at the Bike Academy Sextner and we go up with the cable car to Monte Elmo (2,040) and at the mountain station, we take the path to Rifugio Gallo Cedrone (2,150) and further to Rifugio Sillianer (2,447). At Rifugio Sillianer we enjoy the fantastic 360° view on the Dolomites of Sesto and the glaciers in Austria. From here, the trail continues up to Monte Arnese. We continue right along the “Monte Elmo Trail” to “Negerdorf”. 800 metres of fantastic trail fun with spectacular views of the Dolomites of Sesto. We go over the “Molini Trail” to the Trojer farms (1,550) and from there, we continue to the valley station of “Tre Cime di Lavaredo cable car”.  We make a little break at “Rifugio Pollaio” and then we go up to “Orto del Toro” (2,040). From there, we continue to Malga Klammbach (1,944) for lunch, because South Tyrolean dumplings and Kaiserschmarren are already waiting for us. Then it goes over the "Klammbach Trail" (insider tip) to the valley station of the “Tre Cime di Laverdo cable car”.We take the “Tre Cime di Laverdo cable car” again to “Orto del Toro” (2,040) and along the new “Erla Trail” we go back to the valley station of “Tre Cime di Laverdo cable car”, then along the Sesto circular path, passing “Pollaio Hut” to the valley station of “Prati di Croda Rossa” funicular (1,350).We go up with the funicular to Prati di Croda Rossa (1,900) and take the “Schellab Trail”. This is a pure flow trail for around 5 km until the valley station of Croda Rossa funicular.

Again we go up with the funicular to Prati di Croda Rossa and take the “Croda Rossa Trail” (technical trail) to the valley station Prati di Croda Rossa cablecar. Before we return , we go to “Gästhäusl Putschall” and Fred, our bike-guide, serves us a fresh, cold beer. Then we return to the starting point  Bike Academy Sextner Dolomiten  .

  EMTB TOUR AT THE FOOT OF “THE PFANNHORN”, OVER THE BURGWEG TO THE GASTHOF "ALTE SÄGE" BACK TO SEXTEN / MOOS

“With tail wind on the sunny side of the Dolomites of Sesto”

We start at the Bike Academy Sextner Dolomiten  on the cycle path to San Candido (1,150 ), from there, we continue on the cycle path along the River Drava until Dobbiaco, (1,210 ) andcontinue into the Silvestro Valley, passing Rifugio Genziana up to Malga S. Silvestro hut (1,800). After a short rest and a hearty snack in the alpine hut, we continue to Silvesterplatz and over the Lachwiesenhütte towards Toblach. Shortly before, we take the panoramic road to San Candido and over the castle path we get to the Gasthof "Alte Säge" Here is worth a stop to enjoy a cold beer on the terrace in the budding late afternoon sun. From there back to Sexten / Moos to the starting point to the Bike Academy Sextner Dolomiten  .

 MTB ALPS TOUR with

“Visit Hannes & Martina at Nemes Alp”

Start from the Bike Academy Sextner Dolomiten   in the direction of Sexten, then slightly uphill to the Mitterberg. After a short climb, it is relatively flat towards to the Nemes Alm. After about 20 minutes we reach a plateau is called  the "Saumad" (1.750) where we turn left to the Klammbach-Alm (1.940). This is also a demanding stretch, where after around 30 minutes we are enjoying the fantastic view on the “Tre Cime di Lavaredo”.

Arrived at Malga “Klammbach”, we make a break and enjoy the typical South-Tyrolean dishes from Hannes & Martina. When “Leon” plays with his accordion, we have the perfect flair.

Above the Klammbach-Almhütte we take the wide forest road to the Nemesalm (1,900), alternatively we sometimes use the hiking trail No. 13 this trail is partly more demanding with a carrying passage of about 100 meters, but in any case a highlight.

Shortly before the Nemes alp we take the wide route no. 146 into the high valley. After around 2 km, we turn right to Coltrondo Hut.
From Coltrondo Hut, we take the road for about 500m and then we turn right into the forest along hiking trail no. 149 towards Passo Monte Croce, initially a challenging technical S/2 trail in parts (as an alternativ we can take an easier way which passes the “Krötensee”), then on the forest road up to the fork Alpe Nemes. Arrived at the crossroad Alpe Nemes/Malga Coltrondo, we turn right into hiking trail no. 130 towards “Schwarzsee” and then we turn left, towards the campsite. The trail from here, is a cool, partially challenging trail with lots of roots passing the campsite to the valley station of the “Tre Cime di Lavaredo cable car” and the “Pollaio Hut”. We turn right to “Pollaio Hut” and on the Sesto circular path, we return to the Bike Academy Sextner Dolomiten  .

Before we return to the hotel, we make a short stop at “Gästhäusl Putschall” and drink a fresh, cool “Pustertaler” beer, to finish the day.

LEARN & RIDE   WITH EXERCISE TOUR AROUND THE SEXTEN VILLAGE

„Practise makes perfect“ 

We combine special drive technique training with an exercise tour around the Sexten Village. We start with a founded exercise-tour in our exercise park which takes 2 hours. Then we make a tour around The Sexten „Village“ with our approved bike guides, which know all the trails in the surrounding, to try all the exercises. After that, we make a short break in a Hut to enjoy a typical meal with a fresh, cold beer.

At Learn and Ride Basic course, you will learn the basic rules for driving in the alpine terrain. Brake- technique, ground position, rise, curve-technique and overcome obstacles. Then we try the learned things on a half-daily tour around Sexten.
